Born in 1984 in Athens. She graduated from the first music high school of Greece where she focused her study in the Mediterranean music. She has studied History and Philosophy of Science in the Kapodistrian University of Athens, specialized in Intercultural Education and received a diploma in Interior Design. She has had extended vocal training and has attended seminars in the Labyrinth musical workshop arranged by Ross Daly. 

 

Growing up in an urban environment, she belongs to a generation that reintroduces the indigenous sound of the folklore music to a world audience. Bearing the collective memory through procedures and infrastructures irrelevant to those that gave birth to this music, aesthetics of the past, are being reinforced with contemporary elements, thus giving a whole new encasement as well as new life to this music.

 

She has recorded (The purple sheep, Sounds of Cappadocia, Allotes otan ekoursevan- Post-byzantine popular music re-compositions, White Dragon, Suara: Voices from 3 Continents, Tripio fegari etc.) and performed (Cultural Olympiad Heraklion 2004, Festival Veranos de la Villa - Madrid 2009, Athens Festival 2009 etc.) with acclaimed musicians and music bands (Ross Daly, Huun-Huur-Tu and the Labyrinth ensemble, Saz Grubu, Check Mate in 2 Flats, Takim, Passed-Isolated, Efrén López- Los Caminos de Serceci (sephardic music), a capella group “Sanades”, Demo_Deux , Sylda Quartet, Seananay, Hainides et al.).
